DESCRIPTION.
Lead IT Business Analyst - Commercial Systems
The IT Business Analyst - Commercial Systems will come in to understand the business processes and procedures as well as system functionality. You will come in and identify areas of improvement and to work with (senior) business stakeholders and IT teams to identify and shape suitable solutions. Undertaking detailed and thorough analysis to define and elaborate requirements and provide support to deliver change and value incrementally.
What we expect from you:
•To be the driving force for IT change through the shaping of business requirements, business process models, design specifications, test strategies and plans, test scenarios, implementation plans and business change communication plans.
•To champion "doing the right thing": all change undertaken must be cost effective and benefits driven; to challenge where this is not evidenced
•To pull together teams across multiple functions/areas to focus on supporting business requirements for change in a controlled and consistent manner
•Business / Domain knowledge of commercial processes (Assortment planning, Pricing, Sourcing, Forecasting & Replenishment)
•Ensure that all documentation produced is of a consistently high quality and that it complies with existing Dixons Carphone or Industry standards; that all communication (verbal or written), is clear, concise, consistent and appropriate for the audience
•Ensure that knowledge is transferred amongst team members and the wider IT Team through information sharing groups, coaching of colleagues, documentation share etc???
•Ensure that the impacts of change are understood clearly by all stakeholders
•Provide leadership within the BSA community and the wider IT team with regard to best practice
Your skills:
•Examines data to grasp issues, draw conclusions, and solve problems
•Conveys ideas and facts in writing using language the reader will best understand
•Is able to communicate with different audiences
•Makes timely, informed decisions that take into account the facts, goals, constraints, and risks
•Adapts to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities
•Maintains composure in highly stressful or adverse situations
•Graduate calibre with a proven business experience including proven experience of working on projects that have delivered systems successfully into the business in either a Lead or Senior Business Systems Analyst role.
•Extensive retail experience with particular emphasis on the Commercial processes (Space, Assortment, Pricing, Sourcing, Forecasting & Replenishment)
•Self-starter who is comfortable operating in structured and unstructured environments and who is able to maintain motivation and direction at all times.
•Able to shape and mould ambiguity and bring about order from chaos.
•Proven experience of having worked with development and test teams.
•Ability to challenge development and support teams and speak their language
