MOBILE AIR-CONDITIONING ENGINEER
We are looking for a service engineer to join a national maintenance team on a large commercial retail contract covering sites around Bristol and along the M4 corridor.
THE ROLE:
As any experienced mobile engineer you would be tasked with the daily delivery of planned preventative maintenance, carrying out statutory testing to ensure building compliance is maintained. This is an engineering role so you would be hands-on and provide engineering expertise and guidance to the clients, and there would be a great deal of liaison with the end users.
Invariably with the nature of maintenance in commercial retail environments there will be a lot of reactive activities to deal with and although the bias of the work is Air-Conditioning there will also include a mixture of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fabric repairs.
You will have to decide which activities take priority and liaise with key stakeholders at each of the office facilities to keep them abreast of the actions that are being carried out.
OVERTIME AND ADDITIONAL WORKS:
Many of the annual servicing tasks will have to be carried out of normal working hours such as Fan Coil Servicing and this will provide the scope for the team to increase their earning potential.
AMBITION:
In this role you are the representative of the maintenance division and as such command a pivotal position for shaping the image of the team and the delivery of the M&E services.
You would be the conduit for the clients, stakeholders and management of the portfolio and it would provide you with a natural stepping stone into a supervisory position as your career progresses.
