A Credit Risk Manager is required by a fast growing service business to effectively manage the Credit Risk function and related activities in Cash Operations to ensure Credit Risk and related Cash Operations are effectively managed to maximise sales and minimise bad debt.
You will lead and motivate a team to the complete the following:
-Optimise new customer decision making to maximise profitable sales and minimise company exposure to bad debt and write off
-Optimise renewal decision making to maximise profitable sales and minimise company exposure to bad debt and write off
-Analyse bad debt and cost to collect to improve future decision making
-Analyse credit referral decisions on SME in future months to assess if correct approve/decline decision was made (is business still trading and what is status)
-Work to optimise security deposit request value to maximise sales and minimise bad debt exposure
-Analyse bad debt and write-off by risk category and business type to look for trends that can be used to improve future decision making
-Effectively lead the team to maximise productivity and performance, ensuring that relevant controls are in place to control risk
-Ensure direct debits are processed in line with customer and business needs and exceptions are effectively managed
In addition, you will work with the MI function to ensure the timely delivery of accurate and informative MI and also act as the designated point of contact for a variety of external bodies (Experian etc.).
You will be an experienced credit risk professional with previous team management experience and thorough knowledge of collection and debt legislation as well as fraud prevention legislation. You must be able to proactively manage different outsource providers to obtain the most cost efficient service. In addition, you will need excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills together with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing work environment
