This is a permanent role within a dynamic, expanding accountancy and consulting firm in Cardiff. The successful candidate will work with companies providing detailed support to the accounts and data provision teams by presenting in-depth data, management and accounts information in a range of forms.
This is an exciting opportunity for a university graduate who is looking for a challenging new role in a finance productions and analysis role. No prior experience in a specific finance role required however the successful candidate must be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
Alongside the role, the successful candidate will study for the 6 exams that form the Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB) qualification. Further opportunities for advanced ICAEW certified training are also available including support through the additional exams required for ACA qualification.
Knowledge/skills/attributes:
• University graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree
• Demonstrable interest in finance, accounting and/or management information
• Experienced user of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience with MS Access is desirable. Training in advanced MS Excel skills and MS Access will be provided.
• Able to evidence an ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in an office setting is desirable
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent time management, organisational and administrative skills
• Team player but self-motivated and able to work autonomously
• Flexible - willing to travel UK
Job Role:
• Bookkeeping and accounting duties as fits the level of training and development
• Extracting, automating and manipulating financial data directly from SQL databases
• Delivery of timely, accurate and reliable management information reports and analysis to internal clients
• Provision of solutions to requests for ad-hoc analysis and query resolution
• Production of performance information from across the organisation to support the internal reporting and monitoring requirement
• Extraction of data from databases in use within the organisation to support completion of external reporting requirements
• Other duties as required by a busy accounts department
