Staffing Match are working in partnership with a Global leading supplier of pre-packaged convenience kits and procedure packs for the clinical trial, pharmaceutical, diagnostics and clinical laboratory markets.

Currently recruiting for a Finance Manager for a fixed 12 month contract. (Circa 55K)

Based in Hayes Middlesex

The Finance Manager is responsible for delivering the financial planning and reporting to enable the business in the UK to deliver profitable growth. The position sits on the local management team and as such is jointly responsible for delivery of business performance and strategy. The finance manager should also be able to provide appropriate advice to support business decision making. The Finance Manager is responsible for the operation of an efficient and effective finance function to providing solid financial information, accurate financial reporting and a strong control and compliance environment and as part of this leads a finance associate. As such the role is hands on with a requirement to be both responsible for and undertake the tasks associated with the role.


* Key member of the local management team, identifies and analyses business requirements and the implications of same
* Responsible for all external statutory reporting and internal financial reporting requirements.
* Responsible for internal operational business reporting to enable performance monitoring planning and development of the business in line with strategy;
* Co-ordination and completion of month end close management information, US parent group reporting information and US GAAP adjustments
* Sole responsibility for integrity of financial statements - transaction posting to general ledger, cost centre hierarchy and general ledger account maintenance, reporting accuracy, balance sheet and financial controls
* Ensures regional fiscal compliance in all areas of taxation including but not limited to VAT/Intrastat returns, payroll taxes and corporation tax;
* Management of credit control function to deliver improved collections and working capital and manage credit risk;
* Delivery of SOX compliance in the financial reporting environment including but not limited to completion of SOX audits and monitoring and control of the same;
* Main contact with bankers and auditors as necessary;
* Company Secretarial duties to ensure all aspects of company registrations are met and reported as necessary;
* Manages a small finance team comprising transaction processing associates. The position is the only accountant on site although sits as part of a wider UK finance network.
* Manages all aspects of team administration, development and recruitment to include interviews, training, performance appraisals and attendance amongst other areas;


* Qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience Accountant with two to three years proven experience in a similar role in a multinational or a large company environment
* Proven experience of working through complex financial issues with little direction
* Previous people management experience
* IT Literate - Lotus Notes, SAP, SAGE, Athena, Qlikview and Workday
* Numerate, accurate and excellent attention to detail
* Strong leadership skills and leads team by example
* Proficient in producing financial reports and forecasts
* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and work as part of a team
* Ability to work self motivate and work on own initiative
* Can prioritize and multi task to meet deadlines
* Capable of scheduling and chairing a meeting
* Can deliver effective presentations
* Sets, agrees and oversees goals for finance team
* Excellent project management skills
