KAL is one of the only Trusts in the UK to provide a complete career in Sports & Activity from Apprenticeships through to Corporate Management. Within this role, you will manage the KAL Sports & Activity Activators in the site. In addition you will lead, manage and develop corporate products and programmes to ensure the continual development of Sports & Activity in Kirklees. You will play a vital role in effectively implementing all new initiatives to ensure that KAL continues to be a leading trust.
You will also lead, manage, supervise and assess a team of people who deliver sessions just like you do. You will be there to coordinate them offering support and guidance where needed. You will need to be able to give feedback and feel confident in managing other people's performance.
You will be:
To be successful in the role of Lead Sport & Activity Activator, you will manage the Aquatics & Sports Activator and coaching team. You will have significant experience in areas of supervision, project management and programming; you must have proven your ability in these areas and ready to take on some additional responsibilities. You will be part of a corporate team of people delivering sports and activity sessions to our customers, making sure that they have a great experience and ensuring that they choose to keep coming back.
You would be required to deliver within the current Aquatics and Sports programme; so you will be adaptable and have a range of delivery skills. We need people who know how to lead a session in an engaging, motivating, and of course a safe manner.
You will be based at Dewsbury Sports centre which is one of KAL's largest facilities. Lead Activators may also be asked to work at a range of KAL sites at varying times and days depending on programming so you will be flexible on location and hours.
