Warehouse Operator
Northampton, NN4 7AA
Early / Late Shift times
0600 to 1400 Early
1400 to 2200 Evening
2200 to 0600 (15% shift allowance for night shift)
Our client is a fast growing company, specialising in same day deliveries, storage and distribution solutions, with the HQ in Northampton.
With more than 50 staff currently in their workforce, they are a continuously growing company and are now recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join their team.
Position Summary;
As Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver, your role will include the receiving, storage and despatch of goods, ensuring excellent quality / efficiency, and the achievement of targets set.
Additionally your roles and responsibilities will include;
• Maintain an excellent understanding of the distribution process and how this impacts on the requirement for goods to be transported to, from and around the warehouse
• Load and unload vehicles/containers using forklifts / pump trucks
• Make up orders ensuring correct products picked, correct quantity of product picked and correct clear labelling ready for distribution
• Ensuring to meet deadlines to ensure the delivery of products to the clients in a timely manner
• Ensure that all relevant documents are completed as per company standards and maintain accurate records in relation to movement and storage of goods
• Ensure compliance to standards in respect of all company requirements
• Undertake training, development and re-assessments as required to meet legislative or organisational requirements
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will hold the required skills and experience to undertake this role;
• Valid Counterbalance and Reach Truck Licence is essential
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised
• Flexibility with working hours & overtime is essential
• This role would suit candidates with experience / skills – Warehouse Operative, Forklift Driver, Operative, Warehouse Driver
