Lecturer in Painting and Decorating

Salary Details: Up to £33,263 FTE (actual £16,631)

Contract Type: Permanent

Contract Term: Part time (17.5 hours per week)

Are you an experienced Painter & Decorator and think you have what it takes to teach our Clients' learners? Are you motivated to deliver excellence to their students in an entrepreneurial setting whereby your thoughts and ideas are valued? Then our Client would like you to join their team. You will be joining an Ofsted 'outstanding' College whose mission is to enable all their students to succeed. Previous teaching experience is not essential as training will be provided.

You will be required to motivate and deliver excellent teaching and learning to the Painter & Decorators of tomorrow. You will be required to develop an interesting curriculum offer to meet the diverse needs of their students. As this role is part time, you could combine it with continuing to work in the trade which will also ensure that you are up to date with current trends in the Sector. Lecturer in Plastering

Salary: £33,263.00 /year

Contract Term: Full time (35 hours per week)

Contract Type: Permanent

Therefore, if you have experience of using a range of plastering skills including; solid, fibrous, dry lining, external wall insulation and internal lathe systems. WIA in Brickwork

Salary: £22,482 FTE (actual £11,241)

Contract Term: Part time (18.5 hours per week)

Contract Type: Permanent

The College is looking for a WIA (Workshop Instructor/Assessor) in Brickwork for 18.5 hours per week.

This will be a permanent position at a salary of £22,482 pro rata (£11,241.00 actual).

Reporting to the Head of Department - Construction Crafts the Workshop Instructor/Assessor will undertake teaching and/or assessment duties within the College workshops and/or in the workplace.

Team working and communications within an overall approach to provide an outstanding student experience will be of key importance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning practical lessons to meet individual student needs
  • Training and supervising students in the workshop.
  • Assessing student achievement in workshops and/or in the workplace
  • Keeping records of student attendance, progress and achievement.
  • Taking responsibility for the upkeep of the workshops, including tools and equipment.
  • Contributing to marketing activities either College or Department and including attendance at open evenings, taster days and school visits.
  • Attendance at meetings - Cross College / Department.
  • Participating in teams to develop new initiatives in respect of delivery of programmes.
