We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join the team in our takeaway restaurant, 'Dining In'. Dining In, is a busy takeaway restaurant offering fantastic guest service, a prompt delivery service and collection of Indian, Chinese and Italian cuisine. ABOUT THE BENEFITS Annual profit share/management bonus Staff Reward Scheme Free use of leisure facilities Discounted Center Parcs breaks 20% discount in restaurant and retail outlets ABOUT THE ROLE In this role, you will assist the Restaurant Manager in effectively controlling, co-ordinating and planning the unit activities in line with Company standards. You will maintain high levels of guest satisfaction through service and value for money to achieve budgeted financial targets. Other responsibilities will include helping to lead, motivate and develop the team. This is a hands-on management role, where you will play an integral part in the day-to-day running of the operation, including taking orders, serving food and ensuring the team deliver excellent service to every guest. Ideally, you will have previous experience as an Assistant Manager / Supervisor within a fast-paced food and beverage environment. You will be a highly motivated individual, committed to the success of the operation. HOURS OF WORK You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each 4 week period. Your working hours will fall between 2.30pm- midnight, working 5 days from 7. ABOUT YOU Essential requirements: Experience of working in the hospitality industry or in a similar guest facing position at a supervisory level Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to coach others to achieve objectives Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with and resolve guest issues The ability to work well under pressure and "think on your feet".
