Superb Village based venue, highly acclaimed and accredited gastro venue - bar and restaurant seek a Deputy General Manager.
This is a gorgeous venue both inside and out offering a warm welcome and a very fresh seasonal menu.
The location is rural and the venue very popular situated on the border of Yorkshire and Cumbria. As the venue is well known for its warm welcome and accommodating nature we are keen to find someone with a natural feel for this. The ideal person will be naturally hospitable and enjoy making the experience special for their guest.
You will be assisting in managing the venue helping running the restaurant floor - taking responsibility for the general running service as well as ad hoc duties such as stock takes, training and staff management. You will have a super General Manager working with you with a view to developing your career as well as full time waiting and bar staff and other team members. This venue has a real team vibe and the management recognise this and look after all the team very well.
The ideal person will have experience in both operational food and beverage service - running a restaurant service as well as bar management but also understand the back of house procedures staff management, health and safety, hygiene and managing guest expectations to deliver a warm service.
In return - on going training, progression and career development and a generous salary with a
service/tronc scheme.
