At Abbeyfield we believe older people deserve time and respect. It's our mission to provide the best service of care and housing for all our residents, and to be a champion for older people. We have been a charitable housing organisation for nearly 60 years. Throughout this time our residents are always at the heart of what we do and the services we provide
We are looking to recruit Activities Coordinators who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to caring for older people, either through previous roles in social care or in other roles.
Can you show us how you would treat our residents, and demonstrate to us how you could offer the dignity and respect they have a right to expect?
Required to develop and deliver a varied and stimulating range of social activities alongside volunteers, designed to meet the needs of each of our residents. You will ensure that all programmes continually meet the needs of each individual resident, reviewing and amending when necessary to changing needs. The role will require you to log evidence on the programme of activities of each resident for monitoring purposes.
Applicants should have previous experience and knowledge of the needs of older people, including people who have dementia. Able to communicate and adapt their relationship across a broad range of stakeholder groups and work flexibly, using their own initiative and within a team. Demonstrate a creative approach to planning activities whilst emphasising and understanding the needs of older people are essential traits.
