Job Description:

Location: Required to live within the UK, Germany or the Netherlands Travel: Up to 50% Description NRI is a global leader in the development and manufacture of moisture-curable and epoxy composites for the retrofitting and reinforcing of defects and anomalies in pressure equipment and piping as well as large concrete structures. With our continued worldwide growth, we are seeking strong candidates to help support our business development group and network of clients in the described region.The Business Development Director - "BDD" will lead the effort to focus sales activities on key market segments while developing and implementing strategies to support the company's growth and profitability objectives. The BDD will be responsible for developing and managing new and existing business in the region through direct and indirect business channels reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. The BDD will be responsible for managing all customer facing activities for the three regional offices located in Poland, Malaysia & Lithuania. First year deliverables will include achieving:1. Developing & implementing a short & long-term business development strategy for Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific.2. Identifying & hiring new business development staff requirements.3. Achieving sales performance indicators for the three regional offices located in Poland, Malaysia & Lithuania.4. Identifying & establishing new clients using NRI's proven sales process.Main Responsibilities: • Learn technical aspects of the industry, product lines and develop an understanding of current and future customer requirements.• Develop & implement a business development strategy.• Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by staying current with supply and demand drivers, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitor actions.• Provide marketing communications capability for branding of the company to new clients.• Present, attend & exhibit at regional & international trade shows to represent the company's interests and promote banding, products and services.• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participate in professional societies.• Educating the customer through "lunch and learn" type technical presentations• Work as a team member on large accounts and travel throughout Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific to service existing customers and develop new business.Requirements: Management/Technical Skills • A Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technology, or business management• Required: 5-10 plus years of progressively responsible and successful technical sales experience in a business to business environment supporting large accounts.• Required: Ability to speak and present publicly, to both large and small groups, including conferences.• Strong understanding and previous success in a technology driven consultative sales process, key account management, and sales to owner operators.• Preference with individuals with prior composite experience• Successful experience in technical product marketing, sales, business development, and/or product management.• Must be able to manage, analyze, organize, summarize and articulate complex technical, legal and financial information.• Ability to travel without restriction, approximately 75% to meet with customers, owner's / end users, contractors in Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific.• Must be fluent in English, have good writing skills, and be able to communicate clearly orally and in writing. Bi- or Multi-lingual is a plus.• Must have strong verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate with customers and management in a straightforward manner.
