Job title: Production Operative

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Salary: £17,000 +£2,700 shift allowance + potential overtime + generous bonuses

Hours: Permanent, Full time - Hours of work are a 2 shift system 6.00 - 14.00/13.30 -21.30 alternative weeks. Occasional weekend work paid as overtime maybe required.

The company mainly manufactures sheet lead and is a leading manufacturer for the building and construction industry.

Key responsibilities:

The successful candidate will form part of the production team and following in-house training, operate automatic saw lines and have the potential to progress to operating rolling mills. Applicants should be fit, have an aptitude for manual work and have previous experience of operating production machinery.

Key Requirements:

A fork truck licence would be advantageous, but not essential. This is a permanent position, which would suit a reliable person to fit into our metals manufacturing operation.

Applicants will have the ability to work on their own initiative and have a good attitude to teamwork as well as good health and safety awareness.
