Payroll Specialist

Payroll Specialist required to work for one of our IT Consultancies end-client, based in Surrey.

As Payroll Specialist, you will assist a small team processing weekly (1,200) and monthly (1,800) payrolls using iTrent to ensure accurate and timely payments are made to employees whilst being compliant with all payroll legislation.

Additionally, there is the opportunity to assist in the implementation of a process improvement plan through the automation of various elements of variable payroll data and a payroll system upgrade. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability of fully understanding payroll processes and be able to undertake, in conjunction with the Payroll Manager, a key role in the development, testing and replacement of existing systems in order to improve the overall efficiency of the payroll department.

Required experience/Ability:

• Have extensive experience of working in a Payroll & Finance department
• Demonstrate a detailed knowledge and understanding of Payroll legislation and compliance
• Confident in answering employee queries via phone and email
• Has good knowledge of MS Office
• Ideally iTrent payroll experience
• Experience in the construction industry desirable
