Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Operations Manager
Location: Billericay, Essex
Salary: £40,000-£45,000.00 DOE Plus Performance-Related Bonus, Contributory Pension Scheme and Life Assurance.

This company manufactures specialist liquid storage, supply and distribution equipment and also geomembrane design, manufacture and installation services. Applications for their products include emergency aid equipment, temporary camps and liquid containment. An opportunity has now arisen for a Mechanical Engineering Operations Manager to join their team.

If you have a proven track record of production experience gained within the engineering or plastics industry and you're looking to develop your career with an established and innovative company then this is the role for you.

As a Mechanical Engineering Operations Manager, you will be responsible for all factory and stores operations.

Your main duties will include:

- Production planning and scheduling ensuring that all customer delivery dates are met.
- Liaising with buyers to ensure that bought-in products are sourced economically and on time.
- Liaising with the Production Engineer and QA manager to ensure that the factory and stores have correct drawings and methods to ensure successful completion of orders.
- Liaising with Team Leaders in both factory and stores ensuring that the smooth and economical running of operations is achieved.
- Establishing manufacturing methods and calculating bills of materials for factory and stores jobs.
- Oversee human resource management of all production personnel.
- Ensuring that Health & Safety requirements are met.
- To continually motivate and drive the team, leading by example and demonstrating a 'can do' attitude.

To be considered for this position, you must have one of the following:

- significant production experience gained within the engineering or plastics industry.
- an engineering degree and some production experience.

Additionally, as a Mechanical Engineering Operations Manager, you must have a strong conceptual thinking ability coupled with a 'can-do' attitude. Excellent communication skills are also key as is the proven ability to work under pressure.
