TRP Research Ltd has an opportunity for 3 x Research Assistants to join the team based in Taunton. The successful candidates will join us on a full time permanent basis and will receive a salary of £18,000 to £22,000 per annum + benefits, depending on experience.
TRP Research Ltd is an independent supplier of media measurement, reporting and analysis. We work with broadcasters, programme makers, distributors, government departments, sports organisations, industry bodies and others.
Vacancies have now arisen for Research Assistants in our Performance Monitoring and Media Monitoring teams.
The Role:
This is a great opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join one of two busy teams, which are an integral part of a rapidly growing and successful company.
The roles available are in our Performance Monitoring and Media Monitoring teams.
The Performance Monitoring team reports on a wide range of data from a variety of sources covering television, radio, website, on-demand viewing and social media usage.
It provides its clients with regular and adhoc reporting, the aim of which is to give them an insight into what content is being consumed and the volume of that consumption.
The Media Monitoring team creates logging and coding information to help broadcasters identify promotional campaigns and verify television transmission logs for the industry.
Responsibilities of the Research Assistants
In the Performance Monitoring role, your responsibilities will comprise:
- Providing regular reporting on data to major broadcasters
- Producing insightful and meaningful conclusions from data
- Reporting trends over time
- Spotting irregularities in data
- Meeting time pressured deadlines
- Working on ad hoc projects
- Answering client queries
- Attending client meetings
In the Media Monitoring role, your responsibilities will comprise:
- Logging and coding information to help broadcasters identify promo campaigns and verifying transmission logs for the broadcast industry
- Identifying new promotional campaigns and sending clips to clients
- Logging and coding Live Sport Events to assist clients to differentiate between the live action viewing figures and the programme figures as a whole
- Spotting irregularities in data
- Meeting time pressured deadlines
- Working on ad hoc projects
- Answering client queries
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required by the Research Assistants
- A minimum of grade C at GCSE level in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Client/customer service experience
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes – in particular Excel
- Good written and verbal communication
- Experience prioritising workload and managing deadlines
- Experience of working effectively within a wider team
Ideally, we’re also looking for someone who
- Has a reasonable typing speed (touch typing would be an advantage) (Media Monitoring Role)
- Has been educated to degree level
- Has an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes – in particular Excel
- Has experience working with data
- Has experience providing insight
- Are quick learners
- Are proactive
- Are able to use their initiative
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Are organised
- Have good attention to detail
- Are enthusiastic
