Grade F Scale: £25,694-£29,854 per annum

Ratcliffe School is a part day and part extended day school catering for up to 96 pupils aged 5 to 16 years old.

We provide education and care for pupils with high functioning Autism and associated needs such as ADHD and challenging behaviour.

We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and committed Senior Child Care Officer to join our care team for 1 January 2017 or beforehand if you are available.

We are looking for someone who is tolerant, understanding and can show care and concern whilst being firm and consistent.

A sense of humour is essential along with the ability to not be over sensitive to comments made by our children.

Ideally you will have experience in working with people, managing challenging pupils and hold an NVQ3 or above.

You will manage a dedicated team of staff in one of our House Units and your duties include caring for small groups of pupils; acting as a Line Manager; recording information; leading activities and supporting pupils to behave in an appropriate manner.
