Carpentry / Joinery Tutor

This role can be either Full Time or Term Time (Pro rata)

This Merseyside based training provider, specialising in Construction and Sports & Fitness training is looking to recruit a Carpentry / Joinery Tutor.

Key responsibilities

Teaching and Learning
- Carry out initial assessment of Learners needs and thereafter prepare and produce individual lesson plans, action plans and training resources developed from the Company resource materials as required the necessary training is carried out to achieve these plans.
- Deliver training to trainees in-house using Company training materials and procedures.
- Monitor and review individual students progress throughout their training programme in accordance with Company procedures and the requirements of external agencies and provide guidance, mentoring and support where required.
- Maintain and establish accurate and effective administration records and systems for monitoring and reviewing student progress for information and action purposes.
- Advise and discuss with the Company's Managers the findings from monitoring and reviews of individuals, identify and carry out corrective and/or preventative action.
- Ensure that Company Operating Procedures, Legal requirements, and health and safety and equal opportunities policies are being carried out by Centre personnel, students defined by the Companies operating policies and operating procedures
- Understand the programme specifications and the requirements of all units being assessed
- Agree an assessment and verification plan for each programme and trainee
- Design assessment activities which guide your students to produce evidence that meets the targeted assessment and grading criteria.
