Due to growth, an opportunity is available for a Drivers Mate to join an award-winning company with bathroom and tiles showrooms throughout the UK. Based in Didcot, Oxfordshire, the successful Drivers Mate will earn £7.20 per hour and will be working a ‘4 on 4 off’ rota (06:00 – 19:00).

As Drivers Mate you will deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction whilst operating within a safe working environment, and adopting best practices and legal compliance. Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, your main responsibilities as a Drivers Mate will include:
  • Provide support and feedback to colleagues and operations team.
  • Ensure the safe delivery of products and the administration of paperwork to a high standard.
  • Maximise first time success and completing appropriate paperwork.
  • Working in a safe manner in line with health and safety procedures.
  • Meeting Customer specific procedures and ensuring quality standards.
  • Maintaining regular contact with operations team.
  • Checking all products are loaded and secured to minimise damage.
  • Reporting any load discrepancies immediately.
  • Securing loads effectively throughout the day.
  • Assisting in completing routine daily vehicle checks.
  • Complying with the mobile workers working time directive legislation.
  • Looking after company property at all times and keeping company vehicles clean and tidy at all times.
The successful Drivers Mate will have desirably have a Full UK Driving License and in addition, you will possess the following skills and experience:
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
  • Possess a good level of stamina and fitness
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic, polite and positive attitude
  • Work well as part of a team with excellent customer service values
  • Common sense and a responsible attitude
