Aftercare Supervisor Required!

Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for an Aftercare Supervisor to join our team in Shelford. Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Aftercare Supervisor key responsibilities:
  • Ensure sites maintain compliance with Viridor’s policies and procedures through the management of the site records, inspections, testing and certification of all equipment, plant and infrastructure.
  • Manage contractors, visitors and other Viridor employees undertaking activities on site to ensure compliance with Viridor’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Manage site expenditure and associated records in accordance with Viridor’s Financial Procedures and to routinely assess and identify opportunities for efficiencies and cost control.
  • Manage central records so they are consistent with Viridor’s procedures to enable auditing to BSI Standards and Bio Diversity Bench Marking.
  • Provide immediate response to incidents: e.g. fly tipping, trespass or vandalism and assist the regulatory authorities with their investigations.
  • Accompany Environment Agency officers’ and Local Authority Planning Inspectors with on-site inspections as required.

The ideal Aftercare Supervisor:
  • Proven ability to maintain a good standard of administration, cost control and record keeping.
  • Proven IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word.
  • Must be accurate, diligent and motivated.
  • Self-confident & a degree of autonomy to work on own and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate under pressure and to constantly changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Previous management experience of a waste management facility - preferably landfill.
  • Management of contractors.

In return for your hard work, you can expect to receive a salary of £30,500 - £33,500 per annum plus a range of benefits.
