A larger than life and friendly primary school on the outskirts of Worthing (Brighton side) is looking for an interactive and inspiring Teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a statemented child Monday to Friday mornings only (term time only). The learner requires 1:1/ individualised support whilst in a whole class experience and in some instances independently. The learner is in Year 4 and is on the Autistic spectrum. Teaching assistants that are creative, musical and imaginative would be well suited to this role and learner. The School in question is 3 form entry and currently educates 350+ pupils. The school embrace a creative curriculum and are proud to meet the needs of every child. Responsibilities:

  • Supporting KS1- KS5 SEN learners on a 1:1, small group and classroom basis
  • Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events
