Our client is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of glass and glazing products for the architectural, automotive and technical glass markets. With around 28,000 permanent employees, the Group has principal manufacturing operations in 30 countries and sales in over 130.

In June 2006, they acquired a company, renowned for the invention of the Float Glass process, which revolutionized the world’s glass industry. The globally recognised brand is widely used in our Architectural and Automotive businesses.

They are currently looking to recruit a Customer Service Representative to join them to act as the main point of contact for customers for the order fulfilment process by proactively processing and communicating customer demands to the order fulfilment chain in a cost-effective timely manner; ensuring all issues are brought to a speedy resolution.


Monitoring customer ordering patterns and minimising deviations from forecast expectations, you will capture customer enquiries and relay these to Sales and Market Planning to identify sales and marketing opportunities whilst achieving lead time targets for order processing.  Ensuring first time accuracy of transactional processing including sales orders and claims, you must handle queries, enquiries, complaints and claims and resolve them within agreed timescales; ensuring that deliveries are made in line with agreed dates.   

Candidates should possess effective communication skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate at all levels with both internal and external customers in order to maintain and build vital relationships. You must also be able to organise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines and have the ability to identify issues requiring timely resolution.

Experience of using SAP or other similar business system would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be given.

Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30 am – 5.00 pm
