Production based role, primarily handling client supplied files in a Mac environment and sending to a variety of print devices, this is not a creative/design role, although a creative flair and design experience would be an advantage.

Requirements:

+ Print knowledge including print proofing
+ Previous experience in a print studio environment essential
+ Experience of printing to large format and plotting devices
+ Brand appreciation
+ Appreciation of business controls requirements

Software and Equipment knowledge required:

+ Platesetter and Xerox small format digital
+ A high degree of Mac literacy
+ Strong Adobe Creative Suite knowledge

Responsibilities:

+ Ensure initial understanding of the artwork requirements and deadline
+ Ensure all artwork data is logged correctly on all systems
+ Complete work as per the brief
+ Ensure accurate knowledge of clients brand requirements
+ Follow agreed file naming convention / version control / file storage
+ Ensure artwork files are set up correctly for print
+ Understand the print process and relevant file set-up requirements
+ Complete flight checks on either PDF or open source files ensuring they are print ready
+ Ensure all project work follows the production process
+ Show overall ownership of the work, demonstrating a positive approach
+ Prioritise work to ensure deadlines are met
+ Raise workload issues with the Production Manager if required
+ Keep the client account manager informed of progress at agreed intervals 
+ Ensure deadlines are met and projects delivered to a quality standard and to the client brief
