Regional Sales Manager - Foodservice - GBP50K

Regional Sales Manager required for global Foodservice brand.
Regional Sales Manager MUST have a proven track record successfully managing sales teams within the Food or Foodservice industry.

Managers of sales teams also considered from education and healthcare organisations. MUST
have proven track record.

Territory is : South West / South
Foodservice industry sales experience is ESSENTIAL
Experience successfully managing sales teams ESSENTIAL
Knowledge of Consortia is DESIRABLE

The Role:
"You will need to have the skills required to successfully lead, manage and develop your teams with greater emphasis on training your individual team members to become high performing individuals and collectively, a high performing sales team"
On the job training features highly within this role with a greater emphasis on spending time in the field with your team members.
You will also need to be a strong communicator and influencer to help facilitate the growth of this sector via the wholesale sale teams within both telesales and field sales. Suitable candidates will have the ability to create a great team environment, not only with your direct reports, but also within the depot field sales teams.
An understanding of the dynamics and commercial aspects of consortia purchasing is of high importance.
You will be required to be involved in those local and regional key tenders that are managed through our contracts and tenders team and therefore an understanding of this process, together with a strong sense of commercial acumen and written communication, is required.
To be responsible for the sales and profitability of a designated portfolio of existing and
prospect accounts
To meet and exceed Regional sales targets by the training, motivation, development and
control of the team working to corporate standards of performance
To manage, appraise and develop team ensuring Company disciplines are
adhered to, taking such action that may be necessary through the disciplinary procedure.


Proven track record successfully managing sales teams
Foodservice sales
Successful track record of winning new accounts and growing existing business,
Willing to travel and constantly attend meetings between depots
