Clerk to the Trustees & HR Officer

St Edward's School in Charlton Kings, Cheltenham are looking to recruit an exceptional candidate in the dual role of Clerk to the Trustees & HR Officer to work closely with the bursary department.  This is a full time permanent position all year around. 

The salary for this post is £24,124 - £25,346.

The main duties of the role as Clerk to the Trustees will be to provide advice to the Board of Trustees on governance, constitutional and procedural matters and administer the charity/company by:

  • providing effective administrative support to the governing body and its committees
  • helping ensure the Board of Trustees is properly constituted
  • managing information effectively in accordance with legal requirements

The main duty of the role as HR Officer will be to ensure that all staff members have up to date contractual information and have duly completed all regulatory vetting checks in accordance with the latest version of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).  Therefore, knowledge of school regulatory compliance would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
