We're looking to speak to experienced Assistant Accountant who is seeking a great opportunity to join an established manufacturing business in Grimsby. It is a permanent position where you will become part of a small enthusiastic and passionate team, reporting into and supporting the Finance Director. It is vital that you have a broad understanding of accounts accompanied by experience of working within a busy finance function. You will be able to hit the ground running with the duties below:
Preparation of monthly management accounts and management reporting for multiple subsidiaries for review
Accruals, prepayments and posting journals
Variance analysis and investigating discrepancies
Weekly KPI reporting
Balance sheet reconciliations
Aged debt management
Utilities contract renewals
VAT returns and statutory reporting
Multi-currency reporting
Assist with the development of the management reporting and constantly reviewing processes to drive efficiencies
It is important that you are a personable individual who is a good team player with ability to build and maintain both colleague and client relations at pace. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified and must have relevant experience including management accounts preparation. You will be IT literate including Excel and Sage.
