SQL Business Intelligence Lead Developer, you will be accountable for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence development, supporting solution delivery in a mission critical environment utilising a cutting-edge technology stack.
From a skillset perspective it is advantageous if you are a SQL Business Intelligence Lead Developer with accomplished BI stack abilities (SSAS, SSRS and MDX) as well as proficiencies in data modeling who might have an appreciation of the .NET framework. As some of the work might open up the opportunities to develop their production systems further it is important that as SQL Business Intelligence Lead you are open to picking up elements of work utilising C#. In an ideal world this role it comprises a 60%/40% split between Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse Development and exploring application development in C#. SQL Business Intelligence Lead Developer permanent profile required:
* At least five years' experience in SQL Server/BI development
* Good grounding and practical experience of Data Warehouse concepts.
* Accomplished skills in Business Intelligence design with a focus on the "Inmon" model.
* In depth knowledge and experience with data warehouse/data mart/data modeling architecture and design.
* Knowledgeable in SSRS, SSAS, MDX, SQL 2012/2014, T-SQL, stored procedure development and query performance monitoring.
* Exposure to Visual Studio 2010 onwards, Windows/Web application development, VS database projects
* Exposure to Microsoft .NET 3.5 onwards, C#, WCF, PowerShell, WiX is a a bonus
* Practical use of source control and SQL tools including Redgate Toolbelt suite
* Recent Microsoft Certification in SQL Server or .NET development (eg MCTS, MCITP) an advantage
* Education to degree level desirable, preferably a Bachelors or Masters' degree in computer science, computer engineering or another technical discipline.
