Overview:
Mechanical Associate Engineer sought to lead the mechanical team within the West Kent office of a unique building services consultancy. As a highly successful privately owned consultancy they are in a position to provide the successful Associate Mechanical Design Engineer with a challenging role and career development opportunities as the division progress.
The role:
The successful Associate Mechanical Design Engineer will report into the Practice Director, becoming responsible for providing clear management and leadership to a Mechanical Design Team, while work closely with the Practice Director in the management and development of client relationships and steering the development of the office inline with the companies goals. The full remit to include;
*Leadership of a team of mechanical design engineers,
*Undertake Project Management of MEP design commissions from concept to completion,
*Management and development of client relationships,
*Participate in the development and delivery of client bids and presentations,
*Develop HVAC design solutions and oversee technical delivery within the team,
*Report to directors on the performance of projects and team,
*Undertake the mentoring and development of team members,

Established for close to 30 years this unique Building Services Consultancy offers clients MEP expertise, throughout the Building Lifecycle incorporating Building Services Design, Commissioning Management, BIM & Building Physics, Energy Management and Commissioning Validation - with the aim of providing innovative engineering solutions leading to a fully commissioned, sustainable building.
Operating directly with end clients, renowned property management firms and leading developers has enabled them to develop a wide portfolio of clients in a range of sectors to include; the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, Education, Defence, Energy Centres, Residential and Leisure market. This diverse client base has seen become involved in a range of land mark projects to include Heron Tower, Imperial College London, Anfield Stadium and Charterhouse School.
The Person:
The role will suit an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer who is currently working within the UK building services industry at Principle or Associate level. You will be able to demonstrate technical excellence in the design of HVAC solutions across a range of sectors and be experienced undertaking a client facing role leading the delivery of projects. Qualifications to at least HNC / HND level as essential with CEng qualifications being advantageous. Additionally any project experience within the Healthcare or Pharmaceutical sectors would be beneficial.
