We are looking to recruit a Service Manager to oversee our growing national service department for our Gas Detection Business. The role will involve managing both new and existing service contracts, client liaison, control of engineering staff and financial responsibility for the department. With a technical awareness you will be expected to investigate and resolve technical issues.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, results oriented individual with adequate managerial experience in a Gas Detection environment. Working with staff at all levels as well as resolving performance issues when required. Experience of managing field based engineers is also an essential requirement. Whilst not strictly required some hands on engineering experience would also be beneficial.

A strong client focus and the ability to build and maintain positive external relationships in line with current company practices and expectations will also be a key attribute.

This is a permanent, full time position based from our office in Knaresborough working a minimum of 40 hours per week . As this is a national management position some travel within the UK can be expected for which a company car will be provided meaning a current valid driving licence is required. Reasonable additional hours may also be necessary
