Workstream Construction Services is a specialist provider of recruitment, engineering, and site logistics expertise to all sectors of the construction industry. Founded in 1993, Workstream is headquartered close to Bicester, Oxfordshire and has a further seven branch offices in Birmingham, Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield and Swindon.
At present, we are looking for a Payroll Clerk to work at our head office located on a working farm set in a beautiful rural location, in the north Oxfordshire countryside between Bicester and Buckingham. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, be responsible for managing your own duties and assisting other team members during busy periods.
The successful candidate will provide a close match to the following criteria:
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Have strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel
* You will have at least two years' payroll experience
* Able to start at short notice
* Experience of working in a fast paced environment
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Assisting in the production of the payroll process in order that 500 candidates are paid in a timely manner
* Ensuring that payroll activities and processes are performed in accordance with the company's policy
* Resolving payroll queries
* Assisting in the development and maintenance of the payroll system
* Ensure accurate manual input of hours from timesheets
* Process starters and leavers
* Awareness/experience of RTI
* Awareness/experience of Pension Auto Enrolment
* Liaise with HMRC & other Government Departments
