Senior Commercial Underwriter - Kent

Mid Kent
Specialist Underwriting team of expanding group, who continue to build on their excellent reputation for high standards, and market expertise. They enjoy a mutually supportive working environment; fully invest in and encompass best market technology. They are seeking to appoint a high level Commercial Underwriter, who can offer expertise across all Property risks, with the emphasis on non-standard and more complex risks, supported by wider Commercial Underwriting experience across Property risks, Liability (PL, EL), Business Interruption. C.AR. G.I.T etc.
Covering a wide range of businesses - including manufacturers, environmental groups, retailers and offices, hotel groups, leisure and entertainment groups, property owners, transport groups, construction firms etc.
Day to day underwriting of new and renewal business.
Providing decisions on additional terms and acceptances, for more complex risks falling outside of the standard rates.
Handling mid-term adjustments and extensions to cover.
Checking all policy documentation.
Building and developing relationships with brokers.
Skills/experience required:
5-8 years + Commercial Underwriting experience is anticipated to demonstrate the high level technical expertise and market knowledge required for the role, to include Lloyds Underwriting experience/exposure to the Lloyds market.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong client/broker focus.
ACII/Cert CII or good progress.
