On behalf of a Manchester Primary school we are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with a child in Reception class who has Downs Syndrome. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of the child's individual Education Health Care Plan under the guidance of the class teacher.

Requirements:
- Experience of working with children in an educational setting.
- Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification.
- Have the ability to form positive relationships and communicate effectively with children.
- Be flexible and is able to use own initiative.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting a child with Downs Syndrome in and help to integrate them into the wider classroom ennvironment.
- Communicating with the class teacher, SENCO and parents about the children's progress.
- Liaising with outside agencies.
- Assisting with planning and preparation of lesson material.
- Promoting equal opportunities.
