FINTEC recruit is seeking a Legal Advisor for our Legal client based in Buckinghamshire. This is a permanent role with a salary of £20k - £22k. The ideal candidate should ideally possess a law degree and be competent in Contract Law.

This role will enable the successful candidate to develop a key understanding of how a legal role sits within a commercial organisation.The candidate must have some legal education (preferably an undergraduate law degree) and be competent with contract law.This role will involve your development and understanding of specific laws which relate to the parking industry and you will be required to advise and liaise with law firms to help safeguard the company in an industry with a dynamically changing legal and compliance framework.

Main Role and Responsibilities:

As a Legal Advisor your major responsibilities will include the following:

  • Undertaking reviews of contractual agreements with clients
  • Providing broad advice to different internal departments on legal queries
  • Preparing defences and claims for the Small Claims Track of the County Court
  • Be capable of compiling all the necessary documentation in the preparation for court
  • Working towards representing the company in the Small Claims Track of the County Court
  • Liaising with legal firms in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland to facilitate county court proceedings
  • Ensuring that the standard of cases sent to the independent appeals service are satisfactory
  • Drafting letters to stakeholders such as Government departments, MP's and Industry accredited trade Associations
  • Ensuring compliance with Industry's code of practice

The successful candidate for the Legal Advisor role will have:-
