This post represents an exciting opportunity to join a team of staff in Keele University's Faculty of Natural Sciences. The Faculty is responsible for the Foundation Year Programmes, which are co-ordinated by the Foundation Year Centre, who also deliver much of the teaching. You will work alongside other administrative colleagues and will provide assistance to the Centre Manager in ensuring effective administration of the seven Foundation Year programmes. You will also help in the organization of ad hoc events delivered by the Centre as part of its widening participation and outreach strategy. You will be the first line of support for the teaching staff and first point of contact for students.
You will possess a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics, and you will be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite. You will have recent experience of working in an administrative capacity and will be an effective team player with a commitment to the provision of an excellent administrative service. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of accuracy with good attention to detail, and the ability to work in a busy customer focused environment are essential. Previous experience of working in higher education is desirable.
