Technical Sales Advisor / Surveyor

This long established family run business with a reputation as Bath's leading fireplace, stove and chimney specialist is looking for someone to take on the role of Technical Sales Advisor/Surveyor to advise potential customers on all aspects of flue and fireplace design, help them with their choice of wood burning, gas fired or solid fuel appliance. Prepare cost estimates and negotiate sales.

The role will involve:

- advising Customers in the their showroom, over the telephone and site visits
- carrying out and recording details of home fireplace and chimney surveys
- designing flue and fireplace systems/solutions which comply with Building, HETAS and/or Gas Safe regulations as well as Manufacturers instructions
- preparing estimates and defining the scope of works
- negotiate sales
- high standard of customer care and professionalism

They are looking for someone with:

- a good level of English and numeracy
- a good listener and communicator
- enthusiastic and ready to learn
- self organised with an attention to detail
- some experience of working in a technical environment
- experience in dealing with customers
Work within the building industry with a basic understanding of the Building Regulations would be an advantage as would industry experience but some training can be given
- a full driving licence

The position is based at their Monkton Combe showroom but will involve travel to the surrounding areas to carry out fireplace surveys.

The hours are generally 8.30 to 17.00 Monday to Friday with some Saturdays in the showroom.
