This company is a rapidly growing innovation management consultancy specialising in the commercialisation of science, engineering and technology.

Purpose:
This role is required to undertake innovation management activities related to science, technology and engineering research and product development projects. You will provide strategic insights to inform decision-making, commercialisation and dissemination strategies.

Responsibilities:
- Project manage EU and UK collaborative research and development projects where this consultancy is involved as a partner
- Determine the attributes of a successful product/service and evaluate it's ability to succeed in the market place
- Ensure the appropriate management of projects' foreground results and handle the intellectual property arising from projects
- Maximise value from research and development projects, including recommendations on IP management, partnerships, licensing, selection of appropriate distributors etc
- Undertake intellectual property audits and draft appropriate strategies
- Develop suitable commercialisation and exploitation strategies and action plans to maximise client / project success (e.g. using strategic tools such as PESTLE/SWOT, Porters 5 forces and value chain analysis)
- Author reports containing actionable recommendations and develop presentations to convey findings and recommendations to partners, clients, and stakeholders
- Represent the consultancy at relevant project management meetings (held in UK and across the EU)

Skills / Experience:
- Degree in science and technology (minimum 2:1)
- A post graduate qualification in Intellectual Property Law or relevant commercial experience gained over a period of 3-5 years
- Strong planning and organisational skills with a meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven ability to research, analyse and present technical information

This role would suit an experienced business/innovation consultant with experience of working on European Collaborative R&D projects (e.g. FP7, Horizon 2020 etc).
