This independent, deluxe bed and furniture retailer, is looking for a full time Retail Sales Consultant to join their successful sales team. Operating from their luxurious showroom in Rake, near Petersfield (Hampshire), they serve customers nationwide.

It will be your responsibility to maximise sales opportunities, hit company targets and deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction, from initial enquiry through to aftersales, whilst ensuring all administration is dealt with effectively and with excellent attention to detail.

This is a consultative, one to one sales role, and needs somebody results-orientated and confident to close the sale. You will build rapport with customers and be as happy to sell face-to-face as over the phone and via email. You will be required to manage orders through to completion, liaising with manufacturers, suppliers and delivery teams to keep the order on track and the customer informed.

This is a busy role and requires somebody with a strong retail background and a passion for interiors. Whilst you will be required to help customers choose finishes and fabrics, this is not an interior design role, but is strongly sales focused. Full systems and product training is given, though an eye for colour and design is helpful.

You may already have experience in a high value retail environment or you will be able to demonstrate a track record in a sales environment meeting and exceeding targets, over the phone or face to face. Full product training will be given but the candidate will be required to retain product knowledge so they can talk freely on the product range and sell the benefits to the customer.

Skills (essential):
- Proven sales experience
- Exceptional communication skills (face to face, over the phone and written) with a passion for delivering unparalleled customer service and building strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to listen, engage and inspire customers
- Excellent attention to detail in all work
- Ability to recall a wide range of product knowledge
- Commercially astute and able to demonstrate a business acumen
- Passion for homes and interiors

You will be required to work (some) Saturdays.
