A Manchester Primary school are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work with a child in Year 4 who has behavioural difficulties. The role is to start after half term and continue until the end of the academic year.

The school is large 2 form entry Primary school and the staff work hard to ensure children receive the best learning experiences. As a one to one Teaching Assistant you will ensure that all learning plans are implemented and updated with the class teacher.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have some experience of working with children with challenging behaviour
  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualifcation.
  • Be caring, positive and committed.
  • Have the ability to form relationships and communicate effectively with children.
  • Be flexible and is able to use own initiative.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting a child with behavioural difficulties in Year 4 to further their development and understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Feeding back on child's performance to class teacher, SENCO and parents.
  • Promoting equal opportunities.
