An exciting opportunity exists for an exceptional candidate to fill the role of Head of Business development. This position will be instrumental in helping the business achieve its significant growth ambitions. Based at our Manchester office at Exchange Quay, this role will involve direct responsibility for the acquisition of new clients, working across a variety of sectors, which are already well established to help the business achieve its significant growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities:

- Work closely with the SVP, Market Development, Europe & Asia and the wider Senior Management Team
- Identify and close profitable business opportunities across a variety of sectors
- Direct and conceptualise the development of sales/marketing activity to ensure the profitable growth and expansion of the UK business.
- Formulate a plan for annual revenue growth and gap analysis.
- Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully presenting propositions at very senior and board level
- Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads

Required Education/Experience

- Regulation and credit industry best practice, knowledge of debt collection industry
- Successful track record of new business acquistion and client retention
- Ability to interface with client relationships of all levels both internally and externally
- Experience of working under pressure and to deadlines

Other Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

- Ability to satisfactorily monitor collection results and to analyse these results in relationship to collection methods & delivering procedural change
- Outstanding ability to determine collection problems and to find solutions to ensure productivity
- Demonstrate or acquire comprehensive knowledge and use of all systems including CRM, processes, and reports to maximise collection potential
