Assistant Accountant - AR and AP

The Company is one of the leaders focussed on the global consumer acne market. The London office has responsibility for activity across Europe.

You will be experienced in Accounts Receivable, ideally with experience in direct marketing and/or experience in the retail/consumer goods industry. As a person you are committed, curious and interested in developing the role and yourself. You thrive in an expanding and changeable environment.

This is an opportunity to work in a fast moving international environment. The position reports to the European Finance Manager in our central London office.

Responsibilities include:

Accounts Receivable
- Managing the multi-currency, multi-ledger Accounts Receivable function
- Applying customer payments, including cheques, ACH and credit cards customer accounts using Oracle ERP and other integral order management systems
- Raising invoices for B2B sales
- Credit control
- Responding to Customer Service Accounts Receivable inquiries promptly
- Performing monthly Accounts Receivable account reconciliations

Other Duties
- Performing monthly bank account reconciliations
- Preparing VAT returns
- Month end account reconciliations
- Assisting the Finance team during the monthly and year-end close process
- Providing support and cover for the AP function

Skills:
- 3-5 years Accounts Receivable experience
- Experience of working with Oracle would be advantageous
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail
