Water Quality Technician

Water Quality Technician required in the Lincolnshire area offering a salary of £20-21,000 per annum depending on experience.

Latis Scientific are looking to recruit a permanent full time Water Quality Technician to join the Site Services team. The Water Quality Technician will carry out monthly water sampling, testing of swimming/spa pools in accordance with PWTAG, and make condition inspections in accordance with L8 and HSG274. The role will include some servicing and disinfection of hot and cold water systems; and remedial work where required.

Technicians are required to providing clear technical advice with regards to the management of water systems and will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with our clients. The role will require the production of technical reports and the provision of Legionella risk assessments.

Previous experience in a similar role within the Water Hygiene industry and knowledge of water systems is essential. Applicants must be conversant with current legislation and guidance regarding water services, such as ACoP L8, HSG274 (Parts 1, 2 & 3), BS8558, BS5850, PWTAG. Previous experience in the plumbing trade would also be an advantage.

It is expected that applicants should have suitable technical qualifications. The successful candidate may be subject to a DBS check, must have a full valid driving licence and 5 GCSE’s or equivalent (including at least a Grade B in Maths and English). The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide excellent customer service and be able to represent the Company in a confident and professional manner.

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday

Location: Lincolnshire area, with travel throughout the region including some overnight stays as required.
