Our client is looking for a qualified Health and Social Care Assessor to join their team in a field based role covering the Essex area.

It is essential that candidates hold a CAVA / TAQA, A1 or D32/ D33 Assessing Award.

You will need a strong background in Health and Social Care (Adult / Elderly Care) to Supervisory / Managerial level.

You will need to hold a Level 3 or above qualification in Care. A level 5 qualification in Care would be very advantageous although not essential.

PTLLS or equivalent would be beneficial but not essential.

Ideally you will have experience of working in a variety of environments and roles within residential and domiciliary care to managerial level with adult/elderly service users.

You will travel to meet learners that are completing Apprenticeships in health and Social Care in their own place of work and you will also deliver Functional Skills.

The caseload is 45 learners and they use an e-Portfolio learning system called Learning Assistant. They also have an in house sales team for learner recruitment.

They have received really positive learner feedback. They are a smaller company with approximately 40 staff and they work solely within Essex.

* To take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners.

* To ensure that the organisations and awarding bodies quality assurance procedures are adhered to.


* Personal performance meets objective and targets
* Ensure learner overall and timely success rates meet or exceed the organisation's targets for their qualification sector subject areas
* Learner reviews to be carried out within timescales and dependent on learner needs


1. Assessing
* Manage an occupancy level of approximately 45 learners or pro rata as per hours of work and additional responsibilities.
* To sign up and induct new learners using robust initial assessment and diagnostic tools (Forskills)
* To plan, agree and record the individual learning plan with each learner

Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday

Holidays: 20 days p/a + 8 days public holiday, rising to 24 days with length of service

Salary:Up to £23,000 p/a

Benefits: Mileage 45p p/m door to door, phone, laptop, dongle, iPad
