Our client is looking for experienced Health and Social Care Assessors to join their team in Oxford.

It is essential that candidates hold a CAVA / TAQA, A1 or D32/ D33 Assessing Award.

You will need a strong background in Health and Social Care (Adult / Elderly Care) to Supervisory / Managerial level.

You will need to hold a Level 3 or above qualification in Care. A level 5 qualification in Care would be very advantageous although not essential.

Ideally you will have experience of working in a variety of environments and roles within residential and domiciliary care to managerial level with adult/elderly service users.

You will travel to meet learners that are completing Apprenticeships in their own place of work and you will also deliver Functional Skills.

The company use an E-portfolio system called DocuSign.


About the employer:

The company have a head office in Birmingham although they operate throughout the UK. They employ around 20 Admin staff and 50 Assessors.

The company offer training in Health and Social Care, Business Administration, Customer Service, Management and Team Leading predominately.

Travel to the head office is only required occasionally and free parking is available there. You will mainly work remotely from home and in the field.

The role

The company is continuing to rapidly expand and they are looking for qualified NVQ (QCF) Health & Social Care Assessors who have a genuine passion for supporting learners to succeed in their qualifications in a timely manner.

You must also have an Assessing Award, a good awareness of Functional Skills, ideally with Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, and a good knowledge of IT.

For this role you will have a caseload of 65-70 candidates and will be required to work 38 hours per week on a flexible basis. You will be using an online portfolio (DocuSign), delivering training and assessment via telephone and skype.

As this role is mainly home based you will not be making as many face to face visits but when you do mileage is paid. The majority of their Enrolments are done by their in-house Enrolment Team.

You will be fully supported throughout your probationary period by a designated Quality Assurance Team Manager.


Hours: Office hours - 9 - 5 Monday - Thursday, 8.30am - 4pm Friday. Flexibility required

Holidays: 20 days per annum + 8 days public holiday

Salary:£20,000 per annum for experienced Assessors

Travel:Field based role with travel throughout Oxfordshire. Business mileage paid
