Support Worker

At Eden Futures we are looking for a passionate, caring Support Worker to join our growing friendly team to work with a lovely lady who lives in the Gobowen, Oswestry area.

Job Type – We operate a variety of shift patterns including some family friendly ones. Full time, part time and relief hours are also available.

Being respectful, flexible and positive are also important as well as being able keep accurate records of the activities you support with as this helps us build a picture of the good work we do. Our induction training will give you all the skills you need, so who you are is most important to us.

Our client is non-verbal and has motor neurone disease. She lives in her own home and requires Support Workers to support her 24/7. She has some physical disabilities and requires full personal care. Although she is unable to talk she can communicate through blinking.

Your duties will include-

- Personal care

- Managing her continence (toilet) needs

- Cleaning, caring for her pets and generally supporting her with tasks that enable her to live in her own home and access events within the community as she has an active social life.

You will be trained by a community nurse specialist so that you will have all the skills in order to meet her clinical needs. Due to the nature of the service user, this position is open to female applicants only.
