Senior Accountant - Portfolio/Client Manager

They do this by providing not only the compliance services you would expect of an accountancy led firm, but combining this with valuable commercial insight and analysis from experienced business professionals.

They have an impressive track record of growth. In the three years that they have been established, they've made a real impact in the small business community in London, now achieving more than 250 inbound client leads per month.

The team are now seeking a new Senior Accountant to join their London team and manage a portfolio of clients. The role is an opportunity to escape the traditional partnership model of accounting firms and personally take control of a client base and a junior accountant team at an early point in your career.

This role will be responsible for the delivery of services to a portfolio of clients, from sole traders and personal service companies to larger commercial enterprises. Tasks will include planning workload, liaising with clients and answering technical queries, reviewing work and preparing more technical or challenging deliverables such as management accounts and tax planning proposals.

Being able to solve problems for clients and provide a professional, punctual and accurate service to their clients will be the benchmark for success in this role. Having enthusiasm and charisma are as important as sound technical ability.

A broad generalist accounting and taxation knowledge is vital as their client base is varied and entrepreneurial which means Managers have to deal with a wide range of queries. Familiarity with cloud accounting software is preferable (Xero especially), although not essential.

This role will suit an ambitious and proactive ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who has trained and worked in practice for a number of years and ideally with portfolio management experience who is ready to take sole charge and responsibility for the clients they look after.
