A great opportunity has arisen for a Programme Development Manager in one of the UK's most prestigious concert halls and other high profile venues across Edinburgh. The postholder will drive and lead the Usher Hall's music and cultural programme through achieving rentals from wide range of promoters and agents. The role will also be a fantastic opportunity to develop music and cultural activity across other city centre venues including the Assembly Rooms, Church Hill Theatre and Ross Band Stand. Other key areas of work include developing the venues own programmes, and managing a range of activity aimed at increasing participation in music and culture across the city

At least five years’ experience in a similar music programming role with experience in the UK live music industry, either in the venue, promoter or festival environment

Will have credible proactive sales experience within the live music industry, a proven track record of meeting income targets, a high level of knowledge and about artists, tours, promoters and agent

Experience of working across a diverse range of musical genres and clients and a great understanding of events production and deliver

Will be experienced in producing and achieving sales plans/targets, marketing plans and developing business strategies

Experience of managing booking diaries and developing staff.
