Drive enables people with disabilities to live full and valued lives

For 25 years Drive has supported people with learning and/or physical disabilities, people with autism, and adults who need positive behaviour support in South East Wales. We are a charitable organisation that supports people living in the counties of Bridgend, Cynon, Merthyr Tydfil, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire and Neath/Port Talbot area. To help us achieve our vision we are seeking staff to join us in an organisation that values its staff as well as the people we support.

Due to expansion to our services, we wish to recruit experienced Support Workers in the Bridgend area (Ref: CPENG/SW).

Salary £14,700 rising through increments to £15,445 - pro-rata for part time (subject to qualification bar)

Drive is working in partnership with specialist teams to provide an exciting new accommodation and support service to five young men with autism specific disorders. We are forming an experienced team of staff to provide support for the men to increase their independence at home, access their local community, and participate in a range of sporting and leisure activities.

You will need experience of supporting people with a learning disability whose behaviour can challenge services.

An interest in sports activities, music and walking would also be of benefit

This post will bring you a comprehensive training programme as well as an opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised qualification for your personal development and career opportunities.

We offer:
A highly competitive remuneration package including 30 days holiday, rising to 37 days, (including bank holidays) (pro-rata for part-time staff). We promote flexible working and provide a child care voucher scheme.
