An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an award winning and innovative Housing Association and our passionate Independent Living Team.

You will provide the day to day operational management of an independent living scheme for older people, helping tenants to achieve an independent and positive life within a supportive environment.  Key responsibilities include morning calls and dealing with emergencies as well as developing individual support plans and working with partner agencies and promoting services available.  You will encourage tenant participation and involvement and will be expected to initiate a diverse calendar of events and activities and control the social budget.  You will also work with other departments to ensure a smooth lettings, maintenance and housing management service. 

Relevant and proven experience of working with older people in a supporting people or housing environment is essential.  Great people skills and empathy for older people is a must along with being able to work on your own initiative and remain calm and focused in emergency situations. You will oversee all of the administration for the scheme and will therefore need good IT skills and be able to quickly pick up a bespoke IT system with training.
