Then we need you!

We're seeking an enthusiastic, confident and committed teaching assistant based in St Albans. This is a full time position to start as soon as possible on a long term contract. We require someone to support and work 1:1 with a Year 6 boy who has emotional and behavioural difficulties.

You'll be working in a lovely average-sized village school that has one class per year group from Reception to Year 6 and has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted. The school work hard to inspire everyone to reach their full potential and encourage everyone to be confident in themselves and their environment.

You will be working alongside friendly colleagues and a very committed and welcoming Headteacher who all contribute to the warm and inclusive environment that the school holds. Due to the specific needs of the child you will be working with, we ask that you:

  • Have experience supporting KS2 children
  • Are confident and have strong behaviour management skills
  • Are able to use your initiative to ensure that all children are kept safe
  • Have the ability to support children to progress and be independent learners
