Role:You're the first to greet every guest at the door so it's essential that you make a great impression. The success of each shift relies on your ability to co-ordinate the flow of customers and when we're full, to look after the queue. You'll need to be positive, articulate and extremely organised, communicating clearly and adapting to the varied needs of everyone visiting the brasserie.Duties include:Greet guests at the door, ensuring a great initial impression.Seat the guests, with the ability to adapt and maintain a flexible approach.Organise and plan the bookings systems and daily floor plan to maximise the restaurant sales.Chat and charm the guests waiting to dine, communicating in a clear and positive manner any waiting times.Communicate any availability issues to the waiting staff and guests. Ensure our in-house reservation system is updated including importing new guest information on the brasserie database.Work alongside the management and waiting teams and allocate tables fairly and smoothly.Answer the telephone as per training manual.Learn and retain knowledge of the Brasserie Blanc food and drinks menu.Follow checklists as issued by brasserie management team to ensure brasserie/ reception area is organised and "to standard" pre and post service periods.Assist the waiting staff, bartenders and food runners when requested to do so.Ensure all guest reservations and party enquiries are dealt with in a timely professional manner, communicating any necessary information to the brasserie management team.Identify any guests' needs, quality issues, complaints and report them to the duty manager.Work closely with all departments to ensure that guests' expectations are met, if not exceeded.Uphold Brasserie Blanc's image and reputation..Keep up with and enforce current health & safety standards.
